Question

Hi,

I am doing a feature article (magazine) on a profile of a drug lord (school project). And I am going to start him off as one who is very poor.

I need help describing a beggar - from the way he dresses... to anything else, please guide me along :)

Have you ever seen a homeless person? I would describe him as having tattered clothing, possibly dirty, quiet and secretive, etc.

^ Yeah, same. I would make him look scruffy, straggly, etc. Also, people who do drugs usually have really wide open eyes...And they are usually shot (their eyes, that is :P) Hope I helped a little bit! :)

Usually a homeless person (From what I've seen) wears clothing that's cheap and worn out. Often you'll see them with dirty greasy hair (Not being able to shower and use soap), yellowing teeth that are falling apart, dried out and dirty skin, worn out dirty clothing (Most likely cheap), etc. Though this is a bit dramatized. If the man is living in a homeless shelter, then he most likely would mainly have worn out clothing, decent hygiene, and some what greasy hair. Homeless people also tend to keep all their things in a cart (Stolen from a grocery store) or trash bags.

If you want to get deep with your description, probably describe his eyes being worn out and tired, having a slightly hunched back from sleeping on the streets, blistered hands and feet, etc.
