One function, h(x), with two complex solutions. Can anyone explain to me how to solve one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please clarify. What are these complex solutions for? Is h(x) a polynomial, and the complex solutions are its roots?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h(x)=x^2+10x+16 Is what I have, but I am having trouble explaining how to get to the answer of what x could be.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have to complete the square

Sorry, I had to leave, anyway I think you should use the quadratic formula (if you actually understand it). If you don't understand the quadratic formula, just factor h(x) and go from there.
