what is moment of inertia and how is it related to buckling?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

According to Newton's Laws of Motion, the inertia of an object refers to its tendency to remain in motion. Without any additional force, an object stays in motion forever. Typically, the more mass an object contains, the greater its tendency to succumb to the laws of inertia. However, the external force of friction affects objects differently, depending on their surface.
