Solve -2/3 x > 8 or -2/3 x < 4.

OpenStudy (quietus):

x>-12, x<-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

{x | -12 < x < -6} {x | x < -12 or x > -6} {x | x > -12 or x < -6} these are the options

OpenStudy (quietus):

why are they in {} brackets? I don't really understand the format given, but for the first situation -> -2/3x > 8, the answer is when x>-12, it fulfills the equation. As for the second, its x<-6. It should be option 3?
