To which graph does the point (8, −2) belong? y ≤ −x + 4 y ≤ x − 11 y ≤ −2x − 3 y ≤ 2x + 1

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Recognize that the point (8,-2) has x-coordinate 8 and y-coordinate -2. Substitute both values into each of the given inequality, at least until you find one inequality that is TRUE. Example: substitute x=8 and y=-2 into y ≤ −x + 4 and determine whether the resulting inequality is true or false: \[-2\le -(8)+4? ~ -2\le -4? ~NO\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2≤-8+4 would be incorrect because -2 isnt less than or equal to -4 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*less than -2≤8-11 would be incorrect also because -2 isnt less than or equal to negative 3 ... i got -2≤2x+1 becuase -2 is less that 7
