The Gin removed the cotton seeds easily and quickly so that the cotton could be processed into cloth far more rapidly.
The Gin removed the cotton seeds easily and quickly so that the cotton could be processed into the cloth needed and also the faster they get the cotton the faster they can travel it.
Since every thing was handmade it was harder to repair them like if a lock broke you would have to buy a new one since there's never two alike. but when they made interchangeable parts you only buy the broken piece and its working again
