Find the domain and range of the function. Use interval notation for result. f(x) = 7x3 + 8x2 − 6

OpenStudy (triciaal):

suggest graphing When x = 0 what is y? = -6 when y = 0 then 7x^3 + 8x^2 - 6 = 0 solve for x set up a table with values of x and find y value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure what I'm looking at on the graph, it doesn't cross the y axis

OpenStudy (triciaal):

i just lost the table ! can you post what you have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Argh, I have x=0 as y=-6, x=1, y=9, x=2 as y=82

OpenStudy (triciaal):

the question said to write the domain and range example you said it doesn't cross the y-axis then you would say wait when x = 0 y= -6

OpenStudy (triciaal):

it had -189 to 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i take that back it does cross the y axis.. depends on the window i have opened on it, this stuff is so confusing for me. I'm taking it online and there is not much explanation on this section

OpenStudy (triciaal):

have to see the table i was doing values of x from -3 to 3
