free medal and fan for the person who helps me with this. The volume of a cylinder is found using the formula V=3.14r^2h,where r is the radius of the base and h is the height. The volume of a rectangular prism of the same width (2r) and height h, as the cylinder, is found by multiplying the area of the base(2r*2r) by the height. What is the ratio of the volume of the cylinder to the volume of the prism?

Hi, do you think you can help me on this?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

ratio is just a fraction \[\rightarrow \frac{\pi r^2 h}{4 r^2 h}\] simplify by cancelling like terms

pie/4?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):
