Based on the endosymbiotic theory, what cell would result from the endosymbiosis of a cell with a cyanobacterium? A) a eukaryotic cell that can make its own food B) a prokaryotic cell that can make its own food C) an aerobic bacterium D) an anaerobic bacterium
@HisOnlyForever
Um lol , I dunno , im guessing C or D , something with bacterium .
aww okay thanks anyways!
Sorry .
Cyanobacterium a division of microorganisms that are related to the bacteria but are capable of photosynthesis. They are prokaryotic and represent the earliest known form of life on the earth.
so it's pretty clear that it's B
Bacteria is prokaryote on its own
It is definitely not C or D, but I'm not sure that I agree with Somy. The question is not asking about what cyanobacteria are. It is asking what would result if a cell engulfed cyanobacteria in a form of endosymbiosis. The result would be a eukaryote that would be able to rely on the cyanobacterial endosymbiont to make its own food.
