Antibiotic works against bacterial infections. Viruses uses the host machinery in order to replicate inside the host cell. Thus antibiotics is ineffective against them.

No, they wouldn't because antibiotics will not work against them because they don't have a cell of their own. They use our cells to do their jobs !

@Abhisar Antibiotics work well against nagging parents though...LOL This is sadly part of the reason antibiotic resistant bacteria have taken off, as you are well aware I am sure.
