OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

The photic zone a. extends to the bottom of the open ocean. b. extends to a depth of about 200 meters. c. is deep, cold, and permanently dark. d. is where chemosynthetic bacteria are the producers. e. is only at the surface and in tidal areas.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Why don't u google these questions ?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Photo means light, thus photic zone will mean the zone where light is present.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

i have

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

i'm megga confused

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

like normal

OpenStudy (abhisar):

As u'll go deep in a ocean the amount of light decreases. In deep oceans where light is absent chemosynthetic bacteria is found (as there is no light present for photosynthesis)

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

yeah...

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

so E

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

because light cant penetrate down far

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Photic zone It extends from the surface down to a depth where light intensity falls to one percent of that at the surface, called the euphotic depth. Typical euphotic depths vary from only a few centimetres in highly turbid eutrophic lakes, to around 200 metres in the open ocean.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

AHA! SO B!!!
