The answer is A because a semicolon (;) represents a pause between two main clauses. Semicolon's usually begin when you are about to begin a list. These are all very simple statements, so a comma gets the point across. Overall, it mainly comes down to only the PUNCTUATION in the sentences that made it incorrect.
