An arithmetic sequence is represented by the explicit formula A(n) = 2 + 9(n - 1). What is the recursive formula? A. A(n) = A(n - 1) + 9 B. A(n) = A(n - 1) - 9 C. A(n) = A(n - 1) + 2 D. A(n) = A(n - 1) - 2

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

what is being added to each term to get the next... look at the sequence n = 1 2 n = 2 11 n = 3 20 etc so its the previous term plus...?

A:) If you try out A(1) = 2, A(2) = 11, A(3) = 20. The common factor is 9. So, A(n) = A(n-1) + 9
