Subtract these polynomials: (-6x - 2y + 8) - (2x + 2y + 6)

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Removing the parenthesis would be the first step (-6x - 2y + 8) - (2x + 2y + 6) Now, see how you have minus 2x + 2y + 6? Well we multiply all that by -1, so all the signs will switch. For example: -(1) = -1 So we have... -6x - 2y + 8 - 2x - 2y - 6 Now add like terms -8x - 4y + 2... Now you should be able to do the next one on your own.
