Can someone please help me???!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am on the same thing I gave up for the day, but if I get any idea I will post it here for your benefit.

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

tener is an irregular verb so estar: to be tener: to have/to get/to be estar is used for states of being so you use estar when you want to talk about emotions, physical conditions, civil state (aka married, divorced, single), weather conditions, people (not events) or present progressive. you use tener when you want to talk about possessing something, physical and mood states (thirst, heat, fear, hunger, sleep) or age.

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

examples of tener: "tengo tres libros" means I have three books "tengo mucho trabajo" means I have a lot of work. "cuántos años tienes?" means how old are you?

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

examples of estar: "estamos aquí" means we are here. "estoy de vacaciones" means I'm on vacation. "estaba lloviendo?" means "was it raining?"

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

now, I'm not sure what exactly your teacher wants you to do with that. I don't really understand your question but I just wrote this to maybe help you understand your assignment more.

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

or just as a reference :)

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

I'm here if you need more help though. (on this question or any other question)
