Which of the following is another representation of the point (1, 90°)? (1, 450°) (1, -90°) (-1, 180°) (1, 270°)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you add or subtract 360° to any radial coordinate system it does not change the vector/coordinate.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what I'm saying is (1,90°+or -360°) = (1,90°)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks! can i do this to any problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like that doesn't work with this one: Which of the following is another representation of the point (4, -30°)? (-4, -30°) (4, 150°) (-4, 120°) (-4, 150°)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(4,30°) = (-4,30°+or- 180°) Because when you change 4 to a negative then the direction gets flipped 180°

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes you can do either of those things to any problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup!
