As the days have gone by,
we have realized we cannot fly.
We have jumped out of trees,
sometimes just to feel the cool breeze.
We have thought about the past,
and how it has gone by so fast.
I'm here talking to you because you are sad,
and I dont like seeing you feel so bad.

I like this poem because it has a very common flow with a unique twist, it gives a home feeling like it is grounds from your past. I enjoy the wording and the cause and effect chain, thank you for sharing this.
