What is the surface area of a cone with a radius of 6 centimeters and a slant height of 9 centimeters? Use three point one four for pi. two hundred eighty-two point six square centimeters four hundred twenty-three point nine square centimeters four hundred fifty-two point one six square centimeters one thousand seventeen point three six square centimeters
sweg is here B)
one sec my shiz is laggin
a cone can be made by cutting out a wedge from a circle and folding ....|dw:1404230328705:dw|
the area of a circle is: pi r^2 the circumference of a circle is: 2pi r we can use these to find the lateral area we need, and then add in the base are of the cone
so whitch one ? hommie
Area of base= pi x 36 (6 squared) = 113.04 Cone= pi x 6 x 9 = 169.56 Answer= 113.04 + 169.56 = 282.6 square cm
i showed u how if u cared :P
If the polygons are similar, which ratio shows the relationship of the area of the larger polygon to the area of the smaller polygon? Two similar trapezoids are place side-by-side. The first one has two vertical parallel sides that are six feet and eight feet each. The second one has two horizontal parallel sides. The shorter of the two parallel sides is twelve feet. three-halves two-firsts nine-fourths four-firsts
The ratio of the large perimeter to small perimeter will be the same as the ratio of corresponding large side to small side. A trapezoid only has one pair of parallel sides, so the two vertical sides in the first trapezoid must correspond to the two horizontal sides in the second (i.e. the shape has been rotated 90° one way or the other). You know the longer side of the first must correspond to the longer side of the second. This means the side which is 8ft corresponds the the one which is 12ft. Now just put large over small and reduce. TRY THIS ONE ITS EASY I SET IT UP. :P
is it b?
im gonna kill u @hippo4
