transformation : moving a shape so that it is in a different position, but still has same size, area, angles, and line lengths. tessellation : a pattern made of identical shapes....the shapes must fit together, without any gaps...and the shapes should not overlap. What does tessellation have to do with transformation ? tessellation are shapes that are transformed across a plane Equilateral triangles, squares, and regular hexagons are the only regular polygons that tessellate. A regular tessellation is a pattern made by repeating a regular polygon.
