Which part of the plant develops into the primary root? Root tip Radicle Root hair @Schleifspur

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me ? @Schleifspur

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Will you be nice from here on? This is REALLY my last question for today. I want you to take a guess first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I promise(: And im guessing root hair .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. let's read the question again. one of the three items on the list 'develops into the primary root'. that means, that we do not find it in the adult root. now think again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So then radicle . . right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are correct. :-) if you have the time, you can read a bit into the root tip, because this is a really interesting structure. if you carefully remove it, then the root will grow uncontrolled. right below it, there is the 'quiescent center' which holds the root stem cells. if you take away their "hat", then it's as if the root had cancer.

Awesome ! Thank you (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good night!
