What is (-15) - 18?

@sammixboo

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

All you would have to do is add 15 and 18 and then put a negative sign.

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

So the answer is -33

sammixboo (sammixboo):

\((-15) - 18\) ~ To solve this problem you must follow the rules of subtracting integers. If the signs are opposite then you take the \(SUBTRACTION\) sign and change it into an \(ADDITION\) sign, and change the integer sign to the opposite integer sign it is so now the problem looks like this: \((-15) + (-18)\) <~ Can you add 15 and 18 together for me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it, thanks @sammixboo

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Oh and welcome to OpenStudy v-v
