What relationship does the subordinating conjunction express between the two clauses in this sentence? Michelle is not going to cut her birthday cake unless she opens her gift first. reason condition time place @WhisperZ @Nsanders @WhisperZ @Elsa213 @hitman228

It is conditional, if she doesn't get to open her gifts first she won't cut the cake. I tried to provide some examples of the other conjunctions. Be careful not to confuse them with prepositions. a.reason--- because, due to etc. b.condition--- unless c.time--- before, after, during etc. d.place--- in, on, under etc.

so in my recognition i would say B. condition
