2. The authors of the Constitution were extremely concerned with balancing power and particularly wor¬ried about limiting the power of the presidency. What are the two important ways they did it? From what you know about the presidency today, do you think they did a good job of giving the president enough power to do his job but not so much that he could do things he shouldn’t? Give some examples.
1) The establishment of a bicameral legislature & an enumeration of powers & restrictions placed on the Congress. 2) They did a very good job in defining the powers of the Presidency. The problem was/is that they didn't provide for the possibility of the Congress ceding many of its powers to the Executive (e.g. the power to declare war and the power to regulate); and they provided no means by which the Judiciary could enforce any of its decisions on the Executive.
