OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure which range...

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Can you clear up your question a little? I don't understand..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean that if your a 4th a 4th year high school because my question is for 4th year

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Well, I'm finishing up 12th grade!:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait yes there is seniors crap

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh. so you already know how to get the different of of square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so can you teach me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so lets get started

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok... bring it on!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x^2-3x-36

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

It would equal 0. Right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well this is a trinomial there will be 2 solutions. so 3x^2 - 3x - 36 right so... this is my way of figuring it out. First FOR 3 = 3 * 1 and for 36 you can use -36 = -4 * 9. Then you can see if they add up to -3 3 *- 4 = - 12 and 1 * 9 = 9 -12+9 = -3 then you put it together (3x + 9)(x -4) so x = -3 or 4
