@julefaith I don't know how to help too much without just giving the answer so here it is: Many plants do have pollen dispersed by the wind. This is why many people have a rough time during pollen release by rag weed. There is of course the honeybees as well. Why would pollen need to be dispersed and have wind or animals take the pollen to another plant? This is how it reproduces. So pollen and the plants ovaries combine to from seeds. I think it is clear then that pollen cannot be the female gametophyte because it fuses with the ovaries. So your answer is D.
