Hi Welcome to Openstudy!! HInt: \(\Large 1\ yard=3\ feet\\ ?\ yards = 350\ feet\)
116.667 yards
yards=_ft x0.33333
yards=350x0.33333 =116.6655 or 116.667 yards
Always use your conversion factors (ratio's that = 1 and incorporate both units), As @Data_LG2 said, using yards and feet, our factor is 1-foot = 3-yards. When you solve, make sure your unit's will cancel. You are given the feet, 350. so set your equation up as: 1ft x yd's --- = ------ Then all you do is cross multiply. 350ft = 3x (yd's). 3yd's 350ft Dividing by 3 on both sides we get 350/3 = 116.67 Answer should reflect 117. I think!
