Explain how to use the quadratic formula to solve -2x^2+5x=-7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Add seven and the set the equal = to 0. -2 is a, 5 is b, and 7 is c. Just plug them in and solve.

\(\bf -2x^2+5x=-7\implies {\color{blue}{ -2}}x^2{\color{red}{ +5}}x{\color{green}{ +7}}=0\\ \textit{quadratic formula}\\ \qquad x= \cfrac{ - {\color{red}{ b}} \pm \sqrt { {\color{red}{ b}}^2 -4{\color{blue}{ a}}{\color{green}{ c}}}}{2{\color{blue}{ a}}}\)
