what are the non chracterstics sof virus
me know the basic concept but i wnt details
1. The virus cannot reproduce on its own, it needs to have a host cell to help it reproduce. 2. The virus is not even a single-celled organism! 3. The virus can't even function on its own! The virus needs to have a host cell to live! 4. The virus does not grow on the inside of the protein coat. 5. The virus only has two main parts: the DNA and the protein coat, which protects the DNA.
Viruses are acellular i.e. they are devoid of cytoplasm and any cell organelles such as Ribosomes, Mitochondria, Lysosomes which is a characteristic feature of living cells. They cannot replicate on their own but need a host cell for their replication. Simply put, they suck.
1 virus is neither living nor non living 2 Single type of nucleic acid - DNA or RNA 3 Protein coat, or capsid, some have envelopes 4 Multiply inside of living cells using the host cell machinery 5 Direct the synthesis of structures to transfer viral nucleic acid to other cells
Virus has a genetic material either DNA or RNA enclosed within a protein coat. It also has the enzyme for carrying transcription or reverse transcription. it is acellular and lacks the machinery for replication.
true true all good points guys
parasitic doesn't mean lifeless. Noncellular life does exist and viruses are a type of that.
