$$\large 12 - 2x < 16$$

Start by subtracting 12 from both sides of the equation

$$\large -2x < 4$$

And divide both sides by -2 ***remember what happens when we divide by a negative number*** flip the direction of the inequality sign***

$$\large x > -2$$

So we look at a graph, make an open circle at -2..and shade to the right (since this is GREATER THAN)
