HELP! Given f(x) and g(x) = f(x) + k, look at the graph below and determine the value of k. k = ______ Graph of two lines. f of x equals 3 x plus 2 and g of x equals 1 over 3 x plus 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where is "the graph below"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk how to post it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

scan and use attach file box below

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok one second please :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you don't need graph just make g(x)= f(x) + k . and subtract 2 equations you wrote and you will get k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think this is it..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5-2 = 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can't subtract them ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 3 is the answer? and i didnt know yo had too -.-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you transported f(x) up ward by 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Catch.me ok thanks for your help
