OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Is this correct? (the lesson is Solving and Estimating Solutions to Rational Equations and Inequalities, if that tells you anything)

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look at the y coordinate is all looks like something a bit less than 2

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

I really don't understand, the answers in that image are the only ones I have. Which one do you think would work? @satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 i think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

approx 2

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

y = f(x)

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

so we look at the x-coordinate value and then look where the y is at that value.

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

that is all. if we have to rewrite the coordinate system, it will be in the format of (x, f(x)) is the same as (x, y)

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

by the way, this is not an INEQUALITY there is clearly an EQUAL sign in the problem

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

so why isn't it 2?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

bit confused

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

it's not directly hitting y = 2 but if those are the only choice you're given, then it is 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is written CLEARLY APPROXIMATE VALUE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not EXACT VALUE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 2 is the answer

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Thank you @nincompoop and @No.name :)

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

And thank you for clarifying the specifics @nincompoop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welcome

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Not certain to whom I should give a medal :)
