What is electromagnetic impulse (EMP) ?
It is an Electromagnetic Pulse. What it is is a release of electromagnetic radiation (light) in a given frequency that can disrupt the inner workings of systems that are sensitive to the energy of the light being released.
For example, a computer is sensitive to light that is released in the infrared, microwave, x-ray, and gamma range of the electromagnetic spectrum. If a pulse of microwave radiation or x-ray radiation was released next to a computer, it's component of communication would be disrupted as the disruption to the passing on of information would be effected.
Impulse of force is defined as the force* time the time how long the force apply so the electromagnetic impulse also be defined like that as the electromagnetic force multiplied by the application time .
