Richard was the third son of Henry II. He twice rebelled against his father before he became King of England in 1189, but based himself in his Duchy in Aquitaine inherited from his mother Eleanor. He spent only six months of his reign in England and spoke only French.

HE was born in 1157 in oxford England and was the son of King Henry the 2nd and Eleanor His mothers fondness and his reputation as a great soldier and brave crusader earned him the name of Lion heart,. He was a Bastard Child since parents unmarried, Joined 3rd Crusade to Holy land to Fight Saracens, Victorious He also conquered the Island of Cypress. Promised the Throne of England but promise not kept so he invaded England. At one of his battles he was shot in the arm by a child with an arrow, the King at the time had the boy brought before him, Did not kill him. Instead paid shillings to him. Wound became infected and Richard the Lion Heart died a the age of 41 in the year 1199 He was King after invasion from 1989 to death in 1199 Need more? HOpe it helps
