how can graphing be applied to solving systems of non linear equations?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

No matter what type of functions you have in a system, you can graph them in the same plane and where they intersect is the solution. You can do this with circles and lines, or parabolas, or anything! Solving a system of equations graphically means you graph them to see where they cross each other.
