A 3” x 5” photo is enlarged so that the length of the new photo is 7 inches. What is the width

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I always like to cross multiply when it comes to proportions (3 length / 5 width) = (7 new length / x new width) 3x = 35 (5*7) Divide both sides by 3 to find x 11.6 repeating Please look up cross multiplication and proportions to help whenever wording like this comes up

The correct answer is 4.20. I get confused on how to write the equation. But in this case is should be 3/5=x/7 which is 3x7=21 then divide by 3 x=4.20.
