Is the following relation a function? yes or no
what relation?
try the vertical line test.
@Gtanke, @TomShoe is asking you to do the vertical line test because in a function there is only 1 output (x) for every one input (y). The vertical line test will show that if you can draw a vertical line anywhere on the graph and it hits more than one point, you have 2 values of x for your 1 input of y and cannot be a function. In this graph a vertical line will hit 2 points in many areas (you need only one example) to see its not a function. If no vertical line can be drawn and hit 2 points, you have a function! Your answer is no, this is not a function. y=f(x)
use the vertical line test or you can use pencil and move vertically if its touch more than once so its not a function
thanks lemme try :)
