help?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you will write three journal entries from the point of view of a European who has reached the Americas. What are your motivations for exploring the Americas? What and whom do you encounter there? How do your actions impact the Americas and your homeland? Your completed journal must: include three one-paragraph journal entries in the first entry include a description of your objectives and motivations for exploring and settling in the Americas in the second entry include a description your encounters in the Americas (be sure to describe interactions with Native Americans) in the third entry include a description of the lasting effects of your exploration of the Americas (i.e. What impact did exploration have on Native Americans and on Europe?)use sensory details (see, hear, touch, smell, taste)

What grade are you in? And will you be travelling to the North or the South of the Americas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it does not say @ManImStumped

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i already have some parts i just want to know if they are right @ManImStumped

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I meant which you will be choosing. Can you send the parts then? And what grade are you in? It'll help me figure out how you should write it and how much you know on the topic

For the first entry i put: My people where on an expedition to america. john smith was the leader and he instructed us to find a river route to the pacific ocean to trade with asia. when they send me looking i ended up finding two continents.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the second entry i put: The native Americans had lots of bows and arrows on the en and where dressed different. i thought they where going to be angry when they seen my people but they where very kind. they native Americans gave my people food and got along with us very well.

For the third entry i put: While I was on my exploration I found out that there are many diseases. I also brought back food that my people have never tasted. Like potatoes corn and chocolate.

Are you in middle school?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, alright. Well, you'll need to lengthen the size and I'd suggest that the first entry be changed. I don't think you are supposed to be the founder of the Americas, only an average European on your trip there. So say you came from England/Germany/France to find a new plot and work for, say, the Hudson's Bay Company. You'll be travelling alone, since the fare is expensive and you want to settle before bringing your family. You wish to see Beavers or Bison in real life and are mighty excited. You may also be thinking of sending a few pelts home, for your wife, since she loves the new fashion. Then the second entry can be about settling, hiring a few hands to work on building a home with you, and also beginning to trade with them. This can show your initial reaction to their odd ways and looks. In the last, it can be a few months later and can explain your newfound respect/hate for the Native Americans because they are either familial and have a sense of community or you hate them because they are savages and drunk. Then explain what you noticed the impact of trade has on them, like they now where cheap beads, drink alcohol, and shoot with guns, or you can say the affect it has on Europeans like yourselves.
