The London Eye (a ferris wheel) makes one rotation in approximately 30 minutes. What is the measure of the angle (in degrees) that a cart (spoke on the wheel) will rotate in 12 minutes?
well not sure I can do this one but let's give it a go
In 15 minutes it would go half the distance or half of a rotation. A rotation is 360 degrees so half of it is 180 degrees
so we know that it has to be less than 180 degrees
so straight to the point , what is the final answer of this question?
well that is it, I have to think it out
I can't just look at a math problem and just state a solution
ow thank you so much for helping me here right now , im not so sure in my answer here :(
12/15 is .8 or 80% so I am going to guess 180 times .8 = 144 degrees
YES we have the same answer :D
yes I believe that is true 12/30 is .4 or 40% 360 times .4 = 144 degrees
ok good luck
i have another problem for this question Clock. What is the measure of the angle (in degrees) that the minute hand traces in 20 minutes?
|dw:1404614491705:dw|rough sketch of a clock
|dw:1404614526210:dw|how many degrees are in the clock where I put the question mark?
20 minutes

actually that is not what I was asking you, how many degrees in this region
