what does angular displacement mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it simply means how much angle you have rotated through.. its an important concept during rotation.. imagine a disk is rotating |dw:1404652578589:dw| see how much displacement particle A is covering and B is covering in the same time, clearly A has a much higher speed than B, so in such a case.. can u assign one particular value for the the speed of the rotating disk in meters per second? .. no right? cause different particles cover different displacements (meters) in same time however.. if we use ANGULAR terms.. then u see that they both cover same angles.. this angle covered is what we call as angular displacement!
