Which of the following describes the inheritance tendency of sex-linked genes? A. Move from fathers to daughters B. Move from fathers to sons C. Move from mothers to daughters D. Move from mothers to sons

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hello @MALCOLMA19 ! what do u think it should be ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I Think it is A or D

OpenStudy (abhisar):

lets just say that the "disease" is symboled d a. could be right, because a male has XdY, so he could give that Xd to his daughter b. not possible because a male baby only can inherit a Y from his father and the X from his mother. so nope c.Possible because if a mother is XdXd then daughter will eventually get it unless her dad is XDY(dominant) d. this is also possible, because if the mother is XdXd then the son must inherit that Xd from his mother.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it's A?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes i think so

OpenStudy (abhisar):

can we choose more than one ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No its only one answer @Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Go with A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay @Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

actualy except B all are correct if we consider X-linked dominant gene

OpenStudy (abhisar):

If we consider Y-Linked dominant then only B is correct

OpenStudy (abhisar):

But if we consider X-linked recessive then only A is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay I get it now
