Everytime you have an addition or subtracton onto the main equation, this shifts it up or down on the y-axis depending on if it is negative or positive. For example with the equation y = x^2 will go up 2 units with y = x^2 +2 and down two units with y = x^2 -2|dw:1404679582837:dw|
