An architect plans to draw a rectangular patio with segment LM representing one side of the rectangle. He wants to construct a line passing through Q and parallel to side LM. He uses a straightedge and compass to complete some steps of the construction, as shown: A line segment LM is drawn. A transversal that intersects LM at N is drawn. Q is a point at the other end of the transversal. A compass is set at N and an arc is drawn that cuts LM at S and NQ at P. Which of these is likely to be his next step in constructing the parallel line?

Which of these is likely to be his next step in constructing the parallel line? Without changing the width of the compass, place the compass at Q and draw an arc similar to the one drawn. Place the compass at N and adjust the width to the widest point on arc PS. Without changing the width of the compass, place the compass at S or P and draw an arc similar to the one drawn. Place the compass at N and adjust the width to a length that is greater than the length of segment NS.

I really have to say that I am not qualified to answer this question. I really am sorry. I am going to do it on paper and ask a few questions about it. If I arrive at a right answer and how to get to a solution, I'll help!

meg constructed triangle POQ and then used a compass and straightedge to accurately construct line segment OS, as shown in the figure: An angle POQ is drawn. Two similar arcs intersect OP and OQ. Two more similar arcs intersect each other at a point S and a dashed line is drawn from O to S, such that OS bisects angle POQ Which could be the measures of angle POS and angle POQ? Measure of angle POS is 25 degrees, measure of angle POQ is 40 degrees Measure of angle POS is 25 degrees, measure of angle POQ is 30 degrees Measure of angle POS is 20 degrees, measure of angle POQ is 40 degrees Measure of angle POS is 20 degrees, measure of angle POQ is 30 degrees

Read the statement shown below: If Johan completes his project, then he will visit the museum. Which of these is logically equivalent to the given statement? If Johan visits the museum, then he did not complete his project. If Johan completes his project, then he will not visit the museum. If Johan did not visit the museum, then he did not complete his project. If Johan did not complete his project, then he will visit the museum.
