The three major monotheistic religions are sometimes described as branches of the same family tree. If this is true, how would you describe the trunk of the tree?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The three major monotheistic religions all believe themselves to be descendants of Abraham, Abrahamic Religions founded in this order the religions - Judaism, Christianity and then Islam there are other sub religions but do not fall into this category Judaism thinks off themselves as descendants of Jacob, who was the grandson of Abraham. In this way each of the religions have the common ancestor at the very root of their religion. Abraham

The trunk is an aspect of the seed... Such a complete tree if observed correctly, is known as the "Tree of Life". All of the various aspects of a tree are contained within a small seed, is it not so? Contrary to popular belief, "Absolute and Unshakable Faith"; (Iman), is the very trunk of said tree. "Absolute and Unshakable Faith"; (Iman), is passed throughout the tree via a single taproot "Pure Faith". "Pure Faith" emanates from "God Alone". The four major monotheistic religions; Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, are the four major branches which sprang forth from the trunk of the tree which descended through Gods (124,000) Messengers and Prophets (peace be upon them all). From these four major branches, countless limbs, twigs and leaves have been created. All of which have been created for the benefit of mankind. All have been perfectly created thus granting mankind a further explanation of the qualities and handiwork of the one mankind has come to refer to as "The Creator, The Nourisher, and The Protector". Many leaves, many twigs, many limbs, four branches, one trunk, one tap root, and "One Father for multitudes of offspring". Such is and so goes the unending story pertaining to "One Father's" unending love for a vast amount of 'highly cherished offspring'.
