Also, label forces so you can refer to them in your solution. To find the resultant, as in your previous exercse, they would need to satisfy two conditions: Let R = magnitude of resultant force (watch sign/direction) Sum of forces =0: \(\Sigma F=0\), \(\Sigma F = -50+40+R+20-60 N =0\) Solve for F (watch sign, + up, -down) Sum of moments = 0 : \(\Sigma F.d=0\) You can take moments about any point, say A.
