rate is inversely proportional to the weight as one goes up the other goes down to keep a constant value, k let the rate = r and the weight = w then rw = k let the first rate and weight = r1 and w1 then r1w1 = k let the 2nd rate and weight = r2 and w2 then r2w2 = k k never changes and therefore r1w1 = r2w2 plug your numbers and solve to 2 decimal places then round to one decimal place to get your answer to the nearest tenth.
You can solve proportion problems with proportions, if you set them up properly, in this case: \(\LARGE {s_0 \over s_1} = {m_1 \over m_0 }\) Because this is an inverse proportion, the speed which goes with the first condition is on top, but the mass that goes with the first condition goes on the bottom.
