you shift the terms around like with an equasion -> 2x < 1 + 3y -> 2x-1 < 3y -> (2x-1)/3 < y Now plug in the the first number for each possible answer in x and check whether the inequality is true or not.
its c?
No.. let's calculate for c) where x = 2 and y = -1 -> (2.2-1)/3 = ? and is ? < -1 try to do the same check for the other 2
the easy way to do this is start with 2x - 3y < 1 test each pair: replace x with first number in the pair, and y with the second number in the pair. simplify and see if the number you get is less than 1
