Biology help? A 15 year old is brought in for a physical by a male doctor. If the middle adolescent is ticklish or tightening up during an abdominal exam, how should the pediatrician comfort the patient and access the "issue?"

you will place one hand flat on the area you are examining to stimulate the nerves in the area then you will examine with the other hand as you normally would. this destracts the nerves in the body and makes them focus on a different spot this is why you see people bite their thumb when they are in pain
