I would have a long talk with my child about how important it is to be honest, and have integrity. Then she would have to pay for the item, and apologize. Also, I would ground her, and make her do some sort of community service to help make up for the negativity she put out into the world. I'd also encourage her to get a job, or help around the house in order to earn money for the things she wants. Working for something makes it so much more special.
