How was the economic situation in the United States different than in European nations in the 1920s?
The Great Depression started before it got close to the European nations. The United States had a major downfall in the 1920's and Europe didn't get the Great Depression until a little bit later.
Thanks do you mind helping me with some more? @Jumperman
Sure.
What impact did the Great Depression have on nations throughout the world?
hey jennifer message me :)
jumperman stop hittin on my girl
Wow, okay. Well, it mainly devastated many nations in just housing and employment. Many people lost their jobs. In the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt created the New Deal. This helped many states to come together to work and be able to support the country. Other countries like in Germany, it was hard for employment, until Hitler rose to power. Many men joined up in the military to serve Hitler, that is why his army was so huge.
Dude, Cman, get out of here. I'm just helping her out with some stuff.
oh sorry
How were the approaches of Mussolini, Hitler, and Franco similar and different? @Jumperman
You have the right guy for this. Okay, so Hitler was a fascist. He believed that Aryans, which were from a Roman bloodline, were pure Germans, kind of like how in Harry Potter, if you were born from magical parents, you were pure blood. Anyways, this belief also created the idea that Jews were a low poor race, and needed to be ridden of this world. Mussolini was Italian. He was also a fascist, but he was not a Nazi. He did not object to Hitler's ways, neither did he condone them.
You are a life saver. I have so many questions I have to get done by Wednesday for I can finish this course.. how much time do you got? @Jumperman
As much as you need.
Awe thanks.....How was Russia's response to World War I different from that of western European countries?
Well the answer is in how world War I started. Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated by a Serbian. Serbia is close to Russia, very close. So when the Archduke was assassinated, Germany mobilized to attack Serbia. Russia learned of this and quickly mobilized to defend Serbia, since Serbia is so close to Russia.
How did the legacy of World War I influence Chamberlain’s decision to appease Hitler?
World War I had nothing to do with Chamberlain or Hitler. You are thinking of World War II.
That's one of my questions that my teacher gave me
Well, tell your teacher it's wrong because if it says World War I and they talk about Hitler and Chamberlain, or Churchill, they are confusing two different wars.
This comes from the guy who studied World War II for 7 years.
But it says how did the legacy of World War I influence Chamberlain’s decision
Then your teacher or school is feeding you false information.
That is not how it happened at all. Chamberlain was Prime Minister from 1937-1940. World War I was from 1914-1918
Then I don't know ill just ask him when I call him in a couple days... next question... Why did it take so much for the United States to enter the war on the side of the Allied Powers?
This was kind of both wars. For World War I, Woodrow Wilson did not want to get involved in the war at all. So he tried his best to stay out of it. It wasn't until Germany sent a telegram to Mexico, asking them to join on the Central Powers. Also Germany attacked American ships. For World War II, FDR tried to stay out of the war. It wasn't until Japan attacked Pearl Harbor that America joined the Allies.
Why do you think that the Nazis had such a relatively easy time conquering and then occupying so much of Europe? Explain your answer.
The new warfare blitzkrieg was fast, and usually unexpected. When the Germans used this, most troops that were trained to protect these countries couldn't fight back.
How was the war in the Pacific different than the war in Europe?
The United States used a new type of warfare called island hopping. This was a slow process of taking over Japan. Island hopping took over small islands, sometimes small groups of islands and making them U.S. bases for the war.
Im going to open up another question.. ill tag you in it ok?
Okay.
