the question is What are the means and standard deviations for Classes A and B? but I don't know what it means be the standard deviation

Well in a set of data, the standard deviations is how much the data deviates, or strays away from, the usual thing that happens, like if it is usually raining in seattle, how much time is it not raining? how much does it deviate from the norm? the norm usually being the IQR or Inter Quartile Range
